1. Healthcare and human treatment
  • Access to safe and medically appropriate treatment regardless of race, culture, sex, national origin, religion or source of payment and access to interpreter if language barriers exist.
  • Understanding, respectful, private and confidential medical care. Know the identity of your physician and other caregivers.
  • Please be interviewed and examined in surroundings designed to ensure reasonable privacy.
  • If a child admitted to hospital shall preferably be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2. Freedom Of Care
  • Our patients have the right to obtain a second opinion. Have the right to know the investigations conduct, the results and a copy of medical report upon request.
  • You also have the right to choose your preferred consultant.
3. Adequate information, consent & participation
  • Shall have the right to know the identity of the heath care providers. Obtain information regarding all aspect care.
  • A patient who has received adequate information about their condition during consultation shall have the right to accept or refuse treatment.
  • A patient has the right to accept or refuse the treatment after received sufficient information about their condition after the consultation.
  • Be consulted about any decision and participate in decision making affecting the patient’s care.
  • Be consented before any procedure is carried out and in the case of minor the consent shall first be obtained from the parent or guardian
    • If a patient is unconscious and delay would be dangerous, a doctor is entitle to carry out any necessary treatment or surgeries. A doctor is entitle to carry out any necessary treatment or surgeries if a patient is unconscious and any delay would be risky to the patient.
  • A patient shall have the right to an updated financial status of care.
  • Confidentiality of their medical records, unless:
    • They authorize the disclosure in writing.
    • The information is required by legal process.
4. Compensation of grievance
  • Access to appropriate grievance mechanisms.
  • To voice their complaint about the health care and services rendered to them.
5. Safe & healthy environment
  • A healthy and safe environment that is conductive to good health.

In ensuring our patients received the best possible health care service at our medical centre, we expect our patients will cooperate to the following responsibilities during their stay or visit. The patient shall:

  • Cooperate, participate and comply with their medical care.
  • Keep appointments and follow their treatment and inform the hospital if they are unable to do so.
  • Provide accurate and complete information including any usage of traditional medications.
  • Accountable for payment of the service provided by the hospital as applicable.
  • Not interfere with the well being or right of other patients or providers of health care.
  • Accept all consequences of patient’s own informed decisions.
  • Safeguard any belonging that they decide to keep in their possession after they have been admitted.
  • Responsible to maintain their own health.
  • Responsibility to follow the rules and regulations of the hospital.
